The Town of Cooleemee invites residents and visitors to join us on Saturday, July 4, for a day of patriotic fun, community spirit, and family-friendly activities as we celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday.
The annual Cooleemee Fourth of July Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Cooleemee Elementary School. Participants who would like to be part of the parade should arrive at the school by 9:00 a.m. to line up. This year’s Grand Marshal will be local favorite Dude Jordan.
Following the parade, the celebration will continue at the historic Zachary House on Church Street. The event will feature a patriotic program honoring our nation, along with plenty of activities and refreshments for all ages.
Families can enjoy free hot dogs, drinks, watermelon, and popsicles while spending time with friends and neighbors. Water slides will also be available to help everyone stay cool during the summer heat.
For generations, Cooleemee’s Fourth of July celebration has been a treasured tradition filled with fun, fellowship, and hometown pride. This year also offers an opportunity to see progress on the Town’s new Community Center, which is under construction and scheduled to open in October.
