The community center project has made significant progress over the last two weeks. The photos below show that progress. During the last two weeks we have dug the footings, installed the rebar, poured the footings, and begun to lay the foundation block.
Over the next two weeks we will continue to lay and fill the foundation block with concrete and additional rebar. We will waterproof the foundation block and begin filling the foundation with gravel.
The project is still on track for both our spending targets and also for our October completion date.
It’s great to see our community center coming together. It will bring so much to our citizens when it becomes operational. Support from the State and Davie County is making this possible. Make sure you thank Rep. Howard, Senator Jarvis, and our County Commissioners when you see them.
