RiverPark is Hiring
RiverPark is seeking to fill the positions of Park Manager (full time) and Park Specialist (part-time). The job postings can be viewed or downloaded on the website at the Job Postings page here.
Interested persons should review the job descriptions and submit an application to email@example.com.
The Park is Temporarily Closed
RiverPark continues to be closed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and guidelines from the State of North Carolina. We look forward to reopening the park as soon as practical to those who know and love the Bullhole so much and to new visitors from throughout the region. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We’re just as anxious as you are!
RiverPark opens at 8 a.m. and closes at sundown.
The park features an impressive stone dam, a sandy beach deposited there by a flood, and good fishing in the spring and fall.
Many bring their bathing suits to swim and “ride” the little rapids. There are scattered picnic tables and benches along its beautiful wooded trails and the handsome big shelter can be rented, perfect for family reunions or church gatherings. The restrooms are located near the main parking area. (restrooms currently closed for COVID-19)
Contained grilling is allowed in the park except under the main shelter.
Swimming and water activities are at your own risk—there is no lifeguard on duty.
RiverPark urges its patrons to wear an old pair of tennis shoes in the river to prevent accidents on the granite bedrock bottom, known for its slippery moss. Please note the park rules when you enter.
There are regular police patrols to enforce the park rules. You may also read and download the full version of the Park Rules HERE.
Did you know that you can reserve the park’s large picnic shelter for special events like church gatherings, family reunions, and weddings?
The rates are $45 for half-day, $85 for a full-day, and $175 for a wedding.
To make a reservation, please call Aaron Thies at Town Hall at (336) 284-2141 or email him: firstname.lastname@example.org.
